Job Description

This is an entry-level position requiring no prior experience, as comprehensive training, including manual handling, will be provided. Experience in a busy environment is preferred, and the role involves some heavy lifting.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Organise samples upon receipt for booking in, preparation, and analysis.
  • Open received samples, dry, prepare, and extract for analysis.
  • Unload and move heavy batches of samples around the laboratory and site.
  • Ensure safety and compliance are central to all processes.
  • Operate specialist equipment during sample preparation.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and occasionally with customers.
  • Maintain equipment and the working environment.

Candidate Qualities:

  • Enthusiasm, energy, and strong communication skills.
  • Excellent concentration and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage high workloads.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Confidence to work both independently and as part of a team.
