As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the FX Services-AccessFX Team, you will be a key member of an agile team, responsible for designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your role involves implementing critical technology solutions across various technical areas to support the firm's business objectives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Execute software solutions, including design, development, and troubleshooting, with innovative approaches to solve complex problems.
  • Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms aligned with system requirements.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met.
  • Analyze large, diverse data sets to develop visualizations and reports that enhance software applications and systems.
  • Identify hidden problems and patterns in data to improve coding practices and system architecture.
  • Contribute to communities of practice and stay engaged with emerging technologies.
  • Foster a team culture that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in building Core Java Applications with JDK 1.8+ and knowledge of Java Multi-threading APIs.
  • Proficiency in Spring Framework, Oracle Database, and SQL Queries.
  • Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages.
  • Experience maintaining and debugging code in large corporate environments using modern programming and database querying languages.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Strong knowledge of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Exposure to Microservice Architecture and REST APIs.
  • Experience with messaging systems like Apache Kafka or Java Message Service (JMS).
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
