Job summary

SII UK is seeking a Software Test Engineer to support end-to-end testing for simulation software releases. You will plan, execute, and report testing to ensure quality and readiness for release within an agile development environment.

The role emphasizes C++ QA, test automation, log analysis, and collaboration with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and JIRA. You will contribute to certification efforts across multiple UK offices.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing and quality assurance for C++ applications.
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and scripting for automated tests.
• Ability to analyze software logs and data to identify issues and improvements.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and build/test automation.
• Experience using GitLab and JIRA for issue tracking and collaboration.
• Exposure to requirements management tools like IBM PLM/ALM/ETM/DOORS.
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and regulatory compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan software testing activities from a proving perspective to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Review software designs to define test bed requirements and create test plans and designs.
• Execute testing throughout the development lifecycle and manage defects.
