We are looking for a forward-thinking ISEB/ISTQB certified Test Engineer who is pragmatic, self-starting, and believes testing is a pivotal role in the development of systems.
Euroclear is starting to evaluate the migration of CREST from COBOL programs running on the HPE NonStop Guardian platform to new technology capable of running on either HPE NonStop OSS or on a commoditized platform such as Linux. It is expected that this migration will be an incremental process over a period of years. The new technology will be Java-based and will use Event Hub technology (such as Kafka) for integration between the newly migrated services and the non-migrated legacy CREST system.
This role of Test Engineer will sit within a Scrum Team focusing on enhancements to the existing CREST Legacy applications and will develop to focus on the CREST Modernized services and applications.
Main Responsibilities:
Understand and contribute to the Test Strategy and the Test Approach, challenging where required.
Understand Functional and Technical documentation (Requirements / Design) to create Test Scenarios/Test Cases (Manual and Automated).
Peer Review Test Scenarios/Test Cases and execute them (Manual and Automated).
Manage defects throughout the lifecycle, carrying out the required analysis and defect triage as necessary.
Work collaboratively within the squad and with all squads throughout the Tribe.
Manage Stakeholder expectations and report progress on testing accurately.
Accountable for the quality of test artifacts produced.
Work in an Agile methodology, contributing to the required ceremonies and activities, ensuring Sprint goals are met. This includes the desire to be cross-trained to become a ‘T-Shaped’ squad member.
Collaborate with Squad Members across varying locations, both On-Shore and Off-Shore.
Skill Set:
Proven experience as a Test Engineer working in an Agile Environment.
Experience in the Finance Industry (Desirable, not essential).
