Job summary

Leo Recruitment Limited is seeking a Software Test Engineer for a hybrid role in Scotland. The position focuses on shaping test coverage across web, mobile and API apps, working with developers, product specialists and DevOps to improve quality and reliability throughout the Agile cycle.

You’ll perform both manual and exploratory testing with automation, contribute to test plans, and help drive the development of robust QA processes in a growing technology business.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and the software testing lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience of both manual and automated testing across web, mobile and/or API environments.
• Ability to create structured test cases and communicate defects and test outcomes clearly.
• Experience managing test plans and defects within a modern software development workflow.
• SQL knowledge for database validation and testing.
• Experience working within an Agile or Scrum environment.
• Familiarity with Jira, Postman, Selenium and AWS would be useful.

Responsibilities

Software Test Engineer – Full-time, Permanent

Location: East Kilbride, Scotland (soon moving to Central Glasgow) (4 days per week onsite)
