We currently have an opportunity for a Software Test Automation Analyst to join our team in Norwich.

This role involves identifying areas where test automation can improve the software delivery process, designing, coding, and executing test automation scripts without human intervention. Manual testing will be performed on new functionalities before scripts are applied or adjusted.

The role includes testing infrastructure, databases, networks, applications, systems, software, and hardware to identify bugs and quality issues, aiming to speed up testing, detect bugs early, and ensure software meets requirements efficiently, supporting agile delivery.

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with developers to plan, design, and develop automated test cases
  • Preparing and maintaining automation test plans and scripts, executing tests
  • Implementing automated regression testing
  • Introducing testing and automation into development workflows
  • Creating and maintaining testing documentation
  • Performing manual tests on new functionalities
  • Understanding UML (Use Cases) and testing appropriately

Other skills and experience required:

  • Experience as an Automation and Manual Software Tester, able to work independently
  • Experience in agile environments, automation testing, web testing (e.g., Selenium, WebdriverIO, Chai)
  • Proven ability to develop and execute test scripts, including API testing
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and job automation
  • Evaluating functional and non-functional requirements for automation suitability
  • Effective teamworking and self-management skills
