Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years of commercial experience within a software testing role.
• Understanding of quality assurance methodologies and best practices.
• Ability to identify improvements in processes and systems.
• Ability to create and maintain test documentation.
• Experience working on or creating automation tests.

Job description

IntaPeople are actively recruiting for an established fast-growing Insurance Services Client who are set up in Central Cardiff. They are a specialist within their field and are heavily investing into their technology stack to improve market presence and customer product offering.

You will be involved in working on new & existing projects whilst enhancing and testing current systems for R&D. Working closely alongside the development team to provide solutions and thorough test strategies for their web based applications. This role will primarily focus on shaping and enhancing our testing processes while working on meaningful projects that make a difference

Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test suites alongside engineers, using modern testing frameworks and tools
• Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to define test scenarios and establish best practices
• Create and execute test plans, including manual testing when necessary
• Help coordinate regression testing
• Assisting with software release processes
• Contribute to quality improvement strategies across our solutions
• Collaborate with engineers, solutions leads, change leads & business stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Promote quality best practices within the team

Skills & Experience (Essential)

• At least 2-3 years commercial experience within a software testing role
• Understanding of quality assurance methodologies and best practices
• Ability to identify improvements in processes and systems and communicate these effectively.
• Ability to create and maintain test documentation
• Experience working with testing tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress or Playwright
• Experience working on or creating automation tests
• ISEB/ISTQB qualifications are desirable but not essential

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for usability and thrive on improving the design and architecture of a system. The role requires someone who has excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to work in a highly collaborative environment whilst working alone or as a team for most of the day.
