We have a brand new and exciting opportunity for a Software Systems Manager to lead a team of Systems Engineers to deliver safety critical software systems on medical device

The role

AsSoftware Systems Manager, you will manage a multidisciplinary team covering Requirements Engineering, System Validation, Risk Management, Simulation, and System Design.

  • Overseeing the development of system architectures, models, simulations, specifications, and design documentation. Ensuring traceability and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Leading and managing software sy s tems development activities within multiple projects.
  • Driving a culture that values technical excellence, teamwork, and delivery.
  • Line management responsibility for a team of engineers
  • Owning the planning and execution of systems engineering activities across projects.
  • Forecasting and managing team capacity , ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Collaborating with Project Managers and Technical Leads to aligning priorities and timelines.
  • Managing the end-to-end lifecycle of system and software requirements.
  • Defining and implementing robust validation strategies.
  • Leading the creation and maintenance of digital twin models to support system design.
  • Leading risk identification, analysis, and mitigation planning in accordance with relevant standards .
  • Acting as a key interface between engineering, product management, quality, and regulatory teams.

What are we looking for?

As Software Systems Manager, you will have the following

  • System Engineering or Software Engineering or equivalent related degree
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle and standards (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971).
  • Strong understanding of the use and deployment of MBSE
  • Proven experience in systems engineering leadership within complex, regulated environments (e.g. medical devices, aerospace, automotive).
  • Proficiency inMATLAB/Simulinkfor system modelling, simulation, and analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the development and use ofDigital Twintechnologies to support system design, virtual testing, and prototyping.
  • Curious, eager to learn with a growth mindset.
