Job summary

Morson Group is actively seeking a Teamcenter Specialist for an on-site assignment in Reading. The role focuses on design, development, customization and integration of Siemens Teamcenter solutions, working with IT and engineering stakeholders to deliver robust PLM capabilities.

The candidate will have hands-on Teamcenter ITK experience, strong C++ and .NET skills, and a track record in enterprise application development. This is a 3-month contract offering £70 per hour inside the UK market.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and customise Siemens Teamcenter solutions using Teamcenter ITK.
• Develop and maintain Teamcenter customisations including: custom handlers, user exits, workflow extensions, business rules, server-side extensions, batch processes.
• Extend standard Teamcenter functionality to meet business and engineering requirements.
• Design and develop integrations between Teamcenter and wider enterprise systems (ERP, manufacturing, engineering).
• Develop APIs and middleware solutions for secure data exchange.
• Develop and maintain software components using C#, .NET, C++ and SQL.
• Support Teamcenter upgrades, migrations and data transformation activities.
• Analyse processes and translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Produce technical designs, documentation and implementation approaches.

Software Specialist

My client is looking for an experienced Teamcenter PLM Technical Consultant to support the design, development, customisation and integration of Siemens Teamcenter solutions within complex engineering and manufacturing environments.

This is a hands-on technical role suited to an experienced Teamcenter Developer, Technical Consultant, Software Engineer or Solution Architect with strong experience in Teamcenter ITK, C++ and enterprise application development.

You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, IT and business stakeholders to deliver robust Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions that support critical business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and customise Siemens Teamcenter solutions using Teamcenter ITK.

• Develop and maintain Teamcenter customisations including:

  • Custom handlers

  • User exits

  • Workflow extensions

  • Business rules

  • Server-side extensions

  • Batch processes

• Extend standard Teamcenter functionality to meet business and engineering requirements.

• Design and develop integrations between Teamcenter and wider enterprise systems, including ERP, manufacturing and engineering applications.

• Develop APIs and middleware solutions to enable secure and reliable data exchange.

• Develop and maintain software components using C#, .NET, C++ and SQL.

• Support Teamcenter upgrades, migrations and data transformation activities.

• Produce technical designs, documentation and implementation approaches.

• Investigate and resolve complex production issues, providing third-line technical support where required.

• Perform root-cause analysis and implement long-term solutions.

• Contribute to architectural decisions, technical roadmaps and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Apply modern software engineering practices including code reviews, unit testing, source control and automated build/deployment processes.

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the technical team.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience working within regulated, highly controlled or high-assurance environments.

• Siemens Teamcenter BMIDE experience.

• Teamcenter upgrade and migration projects.

• Experience integrating Teamcenter with ERP or manufacturing systems.

• Experience within aerospace, defence, automotive, rail, engineering, manufacturing or other complex engineering environments.

• Experience with CI/CD and automated build pipelines.

• Previous technical leadership or mentoring experience.
