Job Description:

The Senior Manager will lead the software development projects of major applications. This role is responsible for planning, resource allocation, and progress tracking of all projects and activities performed by the team(s). The Senior Manager will oversee line management, personal development of team members, and facilitate the team’s work. Collaboration with development and testing managers on quality assurance practices is also essential. The role offers a hybrid working model, with an expectation to work on-site for 2 days a week.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure on-time completion of projects while meeting quality standards
• Ensure product implementation satisfies specifications
• Follow appropriate methods and procedures
• Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing talent
• Oversee and manage multiple teams or units, often via subordinate managers
• Lead teams to build robust solutions for Materials data management
• Guide software development and testing activities

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience:

• BS in Engineering, Materials Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related field with 12 years’ experience, MS with 10 years’, or PhD with 8 years’
• At least 3 years of management experience
• Significant commercial experience with C#, .NET, SQL, TypeScript, Python, C++, or similar
• Proven leadership with successful product releases

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Expert-level knowledge and experience in C#, SQL Server, TypeScript, Python, C++ or related technologies
• Experience leading technical efforts for innovative large-scale commercial products
• Ability to understand business requirements and develop roadmaps
• Strong communication skills for conveying complex information
• Ability to mentor teams and drive success across geographies
• Experience with scalable, performant enterprise solutions and cloud-hosted applications

This role is flexible, with a preference for working in-office three days a week and from home for the remaining days.
