The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Software/Senior Software Engineer to join our IS-Software Development Team in our Northwest site. The successful candidate will have a high degree of technical competency in one core development language used in Almac. You will have a proven track record for delivering on time and to a high quality.

As part of your role, you will be responsible for the design and development of solutions within Almac, ensuring that the technical design matches the defined software architecture and that functional requirements in usability, efficiency, reliability, availability, security, and scalability are met with minimal supervision.

Key Requirements

• Eligibility to work in the UK or possess a valid work permit for full-time, permanent employment in the UK.
• Third level qualification (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field.
• High competency and experience in Java (J2SE and J2EE).
• Experience delivering software through a full Software Development Lifecycle (Waterfall or Agile).
• Experience in SQL92 compliant database design and development.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality, on-time releases.
• Ability to coach, support, and share information effectively with team members.
