Client Server Ltd. in Reigate is seeking a Software Release Manager (CI/CD Automation SaaS) to lead how software is packaged, released, and presented to customers.

Software Release Manager CI/CD Automation SaaS

Reigate, Surrey | £110k - £130k per year

Software Release Manager (CI/CD Automation SaaS) Reigate / WFH to £130k

Do you have strong release management experience in a SaaS environment?

As a Software Release Manager you'll take ownership of how software is packaged, released and presented to customers within a growing SaaS environment, combining hands-on release management with the opportunity to shape and modernise release practices across a wider technology estate.

A significant part of your role will involve managing day-to-day releases for an assigned product stack, you'll coordinate risks, dependencies and release readiness across multiple teams, making informed decisions that balance delivery speed, quality, security and business risk.

Alongside this operational responsibility, you'll assess existing release processes and help establish more consistent, coherent and automated approaches across products and engineering teams. You'll reduce manual effort and release toil by improving CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure and release automation, while embedding governance, security and compliance into the delivery process.

You'll also define and improve release readiness criteria, delivery and release metrics, environment promotion models and release health practices. Your experience should cover automated testing, deployment orchestration, blue / green or ring-based deployments, observability and monitoring within modern SaaS environments.

This is a highly visible role involving release management, DevOps, platform tooling, governance, coaching and organisational change. You'll build credibility quickly, assess the current estate, form clear recommendations and lead teams towards improved release maturity. Coaching and influencing engineering teams will be central to the role, helping developers adopt better practices while creating a smoother, more reliable release experience.

WFH Policy:

There's a flexible work from home hybrid model, you'll join colleagues in the Reigate office twice a week for team meet-ups and stakeholder meetings with the other three days' work from home.

About you:

• You have strong Release Management experience in a SaaS product environment, managing frequent releases
• You have experience of improving CI/CD processes in complex environments
• You combine strong technical knowledge with confident communication, sound risk based decision making and the ability to influence stakeholders across the organisation
• You have a good technical understanding of Azure DevOps, GitHub, Infrastructure as Code, trunk-based development and GitOps
