Job summary

ARM is seeking a Software Project Engineer to support the technical delivery of Software Factory projects. The role coordinates activities between engineering teams and Delivery Management, managing risks and dependencies while providing technical leadership throughout the lifecycle.

Candidates should have a degree in Engineering/CS/IT and strong experience in software or platform engineering, ideally in aerospace/defence. UK security clearance is required; 6-month contract; Reading, UK.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
Strong experience in software, systems, or platform engineering projects.
Software engineering experience, ideally in aerospace & defence sector.
Experience in software delivery environments.
Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
Strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and planning skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate technical activities across engineering teams and stakeholders.
Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and technical interfaces.
Support project plans, technical roadmaps, reporting, and forecasting.
Provide technical leadership and first-level decision-making.
Act as the escalation point for engineering issues.
Ensure adherence to engineering processes and standards.
Facilitate technical reviews and milestone assessments.
