This position is located ON SITE in Shirebrook, United Kingdom.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary focus of this position will be to deliver efficient and effective solutions for a series of projects. As a program manager, you are responsible for the achievements of the projects contained within the program.

This position will coordinate efforts between internal and external stakeholders within our organization and must be extremely communicative and transparent. The goal is to not only apply the strategy, development, and integration of the software program but also to coach and mentor project managers who are a part of that program and help to facilitate their success.

The program manager will be responsible for the overall schedule, scope, and budget of the program and is constantly improving to find better ways to succeed with each new project that comes along.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives and organizational objectives.
  • Develop tools to assess the individual projects and overall program to highlight potential challenges and opportunities.
  • Maintain and develop standards of quality and performance.
  • Manage the budgets of individual projects and create a program budget for overall financial health.
  • Manage a team and interact with other teams with a diverse array of talents, abilities, and responsibilities.
  • Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure the project goals are met.
  • Conduct consistent meetings with internal and external stakeholders for awareness of achievements, challenges, and risks.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, or Finance.
  • Seven to ten years of experience with Software Project Management.
  • Cross-functional team management experience.
  • Strong understanding of Scrum framework as well as Waterfall methodologies.
  • Ability to employ persuasion/negotiation skills with discretion and consideration.
  • Project costing and forecasting experience.
  • Risk management and risk mitigation experience.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Highly motivated, directed, and a team player.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • PMP and Scrum Master certifications (ASM, CSM).
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally approximately 10-15% of the time.
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the job.

WORKING CONDITIONS: When duties are performed in a typical office environment, extended periods of sitting at a desk and viewing a computer screen will be required. Also required is the ability to talk and hear, in person and by telephone; use of hands to handle, feel, or operate standard office equipment; and ability to reach with hands and arms. Associates are frequently required to walk and stand. The noise level in this work environment is usually quiet. When traveling to client sites, essential requirements of this position may require physical presence in various environments and locations. Physical stamina may be required for prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and/or working in cramped quarters. Exposure to potentially dangerous tools and equipment amidst a variety of building materials is probable, as is occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can vary from being relatively quiet to moderate to excessive. Safety shoes or boots may be required in certain situations. Additional safety clothing including gloves, hardhats, and devices to protect eyes, mouth, or hearing will be worn as necessary.
