Software/Firmware Engineer (C++), Dundee

Net Talent has partnered with a well-known brand in the financial sector that is looking to expand its highly successful team. They need a Software/Firmware Engineer responsible for delivering high-quality software across various devices.

Full and in-depth training will be provided due to the unique development environment and knowledge required for this role.

The ideal candidate will have several years of experience developing high-quality software and firmware, ideally using C++.

This role is hybrid in Dundee, requiring a minimum of 3 days onsite per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality software meeting customer requirements within agreed timescales
• Analyze and process data to develop innovative solutions
• Manage multiple issues at different stages within development, with assistance from a senior engineer
• Prepare technical documentation
• Participate in peer reviews of software
• Estimate time and resources accurately for development efforts
• Communicate effectively with developers, team leads, and QA
• Ensure customer satisfaction through diligent development
• Possess 3-5 years of software development experience, ideally in C++, but other languages like C#, Python, Embedded C will be considered
• Experience in Image Processing/Analysis
• Data analytics and computational statistics
• Knowledge of similar data analysis/visualization tools is a plus
• Experience in Signal Processing/Analysis
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
