Job summary

IC Resources in London seeks an experienced software engineer to join a startup operating at the intersection of neurotechnology and semiconductors. You will help translate hardware capabilities into usable software for internal teams and external customers.

You'll develop software for hardware-based products, work with embedded platforms, and contribute to an ecosystem around chips. The role offers a hybrid London office with up to 50% remote work and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in software for hardware-based products or embedded systems.
• Proficient in Python, C++, or C#.
• Experience with embedded platforms like STM32 or Raspberry Pi.
• Experience developing user-facing tools or SDKs/APIs.
• Familiar with interfaces SPI, I2C, UART, USB or Ethernet.
• Ability to debug and test in a collaborative workflow.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, application, and engineering teams to translate hardware capabilities into software.

Job description

They are an innovative startup at the intersection of neurotechnology and semiconductors. They are pioneering integrated circuit solutions for implantable medical devices targeting the management and treatment of neurological conditions.

The role will work closely with the product, application, and engineering teams to build an ecosystem around chips and to translate hardware capabilities into usable, reliable software solutions for both internal users and external customers.

• Experience in developing software for hardware-based products, laboratory instruments, embedded systems, or evaluation platforms
• Experience in one or more programming languages relevant to the role, such as Python, C++, or C#
• Experience working with embedded platforms or prototyping hardware, such as STM32, Raspberry Pi, or similar systems
• Experience in developing user-facing software tools, internal engineering tools, or SDKs/APIs
• Experience interfacing software with hardware through standard communication protocols such as SPI, I²C, UART, USB, or Ethernet
• Experience in debugging, testing, and maintaining software within a collaborative and well-documented engineering workflow
