Job summary

Search-Select LTD is seeking a Software Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term contract to help deliver strategic digital initiatives. The role spans designing, building and supporting business-critical applications using Microsoft technologies (Azure, .NET, C#) and Salesforce platform integration.

You will contribute to cloud operations, automation, testing and DevOps, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure reliable, scalable solutions aligned with the company’s modernization goals.

Qualifications

  • Software engineering and application development experience.
  • Microsoft technologies including Azure, .NET, C#, Power Platform and related services.
  • Salesforce development, administration or platform engineering, or transferable software skills to learn Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and support business-critical applications and services.
  • Deliver modern software solutions using Microsoft and cloud technologies.
  • Define solution architectures and technical designs to support strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between enterprise systems and third-party platforms.
  • Support DevOps, CI/CD and infrastructure automation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and project teams to deliver outcomes.
  • Champion engineering best practices and continuous improvement.

Our client seeks a Software Engineer to join their team on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Role Profile

This opportunities will play a key role in delivering strategic initiatives that enhance the digital capabilities, modernise technology landscape and support the future growth of the business. Seeking experienced professionals across several disciplines including.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on your area of expertise, responsibilities may include.

  • Designing, developing and supporting business-critical applications and services.
  • Delivering modern software solutions using Microsoft and cloud technologies.
  • Defining solution architectures and technical designs that support strategic business initiatives.
  • Designing, developing and enhancing capabilities within the Salesforce platform.
  • Building and maintaining integrations between enterprise systems and third-party platforms.
  • Supporting and optimising cloud infrastructure and platform services within Azure environments.
  • Driving operational excellence through monitoring, observability, automation and service reliability practices.
  • Developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and quality engineering standards.
  • Supporting DevOps, CI/CD and infrastructure automation initiatives.
  • Contributing to technology modernisation, platform upgrades and transformation programmes.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders, project teams and technology colleagues to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Championing engineering best practices, innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Skills and Experience
  • Software engineering and application development.
  • Microsoft technologies including Azure, .NET, C#, Power Platform and associated services.
  • Solution architecture and technical design.
  • Salesforce development, administration or platform engineering, or transferable software engineering skills with the ability to develop Salesforce expertise.
  • Cloud Operations Engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering or site reliability engineering.
  • Test automation, quality engineering and automated testing frameworks.
  • API development, application integration and distributed systems.
  • DevOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines and automation practices.
  • Monitoring, observability, incident management and operational resilience.
  • Agile software delivery and modern engineering methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience within financial services would be advantageous but is not essential.
