We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager with a background in engineering-related business to join our growing software community across Glasgow and Reading. You will work with a diverse product portfolio covering cutting-edge land, sea, and air products, managing software development across the full lifecycle (Agile, Incremental, Waterfall).
This role is open to full or part-time candidates and involves defining, tailoring, and enforcing software processes, managing resources, budgets, and project work packages, and leading continuous improvement activities. Thales operates a hybrid working model, blending remote and on-site work.
Ideal candidates will be self-motivated software professionals with experience leading software projects, preferably for real-time and embedded systems. Experience with Agile methodologies, Jira, and IBM DOORS is desirable. Experience developing cybersecurity solutions and compliance with standards like IEC 61508 or DO-178C is advantageous. Proficiency in C++ and C is preferred. Candidates should hold or be eligible for UK Secret clearance.
