Job summary

Mexa Solutions in Fareham is seeking a Software Engineering Manager who will own the team, roadmap and coding contributions. You’ll balance hands-on development with people leadership, ensuring long-term performance and productivity.

You’ll report to the C-suite and shape how the software organization evolves, mentoring staff, setting standards, and promoting collaboration while delivering high-quality software in a hybrid UK setup.

• Strong communication with stakeholders, including the CEO.

Software Engineering Manager

£90 – 100k basic

Fareham – Hybrid with one day a week in the office and 4 days WFH

Your new opportunity…

This is a blended role, where you’ll be line managing individuals, contributing to the codebase, monitoring performance and owning the standard of development, ensuring long-term performance and productivity.

A key part of this role will be fostering and promoting a collaborative, productive environment where your reports are motivated to share ideas and improve process.

You’ll be reporting into the C-suite and will have visible influence over how this part of the business runs.

Some skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

• Strong experience (2+ years) of managing a development team.
• A background in hands on Software Development and experience in the following tech stack: C#, .NET, Azure, SQL.
• The ability the communicate with individuals at different levels, from junior developers to the CEO.

What’s in it for you?

Salary for this role is £90,000 – 100,000 basic. It’s a hybrid role with one day a week in their office in Fareham and 4 days from home.
