Job summary

Copello Global in Edinburgh is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a high performing team of engineers, tackling real-world problems and enhancing community safety.

You will recruit, coach and mentor engineers from Graduate to Senior level, drive innovation and best engineering practices, with hybrid work requiring 2 days on site in central Edinburgh. Knowledge of SDLC, Scrum/Agile, and cloud/CI/CD is essential, and familiarity with AI tools would be advantageous.

Hybrid Working

2 days per week on site in central Edinburgh.

The Role

This position will entail building and managing a high performing, talented team of Software Engineers tasked with tackling real-world problems and enhancing the safety of communities.

You will recruit, coach and mentor engineers from Graduate to Senior level, drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement as well as promoting best engineering practices.

Skills

The Software Engineering Manager will have a background in people leadership and in-depth knowledge of the SDLC and Scrum / Agile frameworks.

Knowledge of Cloud and CI/CD would be required and the ability to demonstrate the leveraging of AI tools for optimization would be highly advantageous.

The role holder will lead by example, possess excellent communication and organisational skills and will embrace and champion a culture of innovation and continual learning.
