Job Description:

Great opportunity for a Software Engineering Lead to join a fast-growing ecommerce company in Manchester aiming to become Europe’s leading online retailer in their industry.

You will join a large engineering department, responsible for leading a cross-functional, product-based team that builds highly scalable, cloud-native, event-driven systems in a high-traffic, DevOps environment.

As a Software Engineering Lead, you will spend approximately 75% of your time on leadership and technical strategy, with the remaining 25% hands-on, focusing on architectural decisions and solving complex technical challenges.

The team manages all aspects of their product, from ideation through development, testing, and deployment. You should champion best practices such as TDD, Observability, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
