Job summary

VistaLink in the United Kingdom is seeking an enthusiastic junior software engineer to join a fast-growing team. You’ll write production Python and TypeScript from your first week and contribute to browser automation and data pipelines that collect hotel rates.

You’ll participate in product discussions, ship small features end to end with code reviews, and explore AI models and tools to turn the useful ones into features.

Qualifications

• Currently studying computer science or recently graduated.
• Code for fun: side projects, hackathons, open source, anything.
• Proficient in Python or TypeScript.
• Keeps up with AI developments and tinkers with AI tools.
• Learns quickly and asks when stuck.

Job description

Travellers are starting to hand the search to software. VistaLink builds what that software runs on: rates read straight off hotels’ own websites, and bookings made on those same sites. Travel platforms use it through a white-label API, and hotels work with us directly.

There’s no separate intern project. You’ll work on the same problems as the rest of the engineering team, with review on everything you ship.

• You code for fun: side projects, hackathons, open source, anything.
• Good with Python or TypeScript.
• You tinker with AI rather than just reading about it.
• You learn quickly, and ask when you’re stuck.

Nice to have

• A home GPU, or experience running models locally
• Some scraping or browser automation
• A live project we can try
