A role within Submarines offers the chance to work across all phases of the product life cycle, tackling technical challenges involving digital, software, programmable hardware, electronics, systems, and applications. You can build your career as an engineer, technical specialist, or technical leader. We support your development through coaching, experience, training, and professional mentoring, helping you progress towards chartered engineer status or further professional growth. You will work within our safety-critical software development team, employing agile SCRUM methodologies and the latest tools throughout the software lifecycle.
Training will be provided as needed to develop your skills in requirements analysis, architecture, design, coding, and testing of controls software essential for the safety and monitoring of nuclear propulsion systems.
You will also contribute to developing bespoke software tools supporting our deliverable equipment software. The applications you develop are cutting-edge, addressing high safety integrity requirements.
