A role within Submarines offers the chance to work across all phases of the product life cycle, tackling technical challenges involving digital, software, programmable hardware, electronics, systems, and applications. You will also contribute to developing bespoke software tools supporting our deliverable equipment software. The applications you develop are cutting-edge, addressing high safety integrity requirements.

What you’ll be doing:

• Following a safety-critical development lifecycle to develop software requirements, design, and high-integrity code; supporting testing and authoring review documentation.
• Liaising with FPGA, hardware, systems, and verification teams to meet customer expectations effectively.
• Contributing to process improvements and enhancing product quality.

• Degree or equivalent experience in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in designing and verifying high-integrity software.

Experience in the following areas is beneficial but not essential:

• Languages: Ada, C++, C#, Python
• Standards and frameworks: Real-time operating systems, PLC development, Agile Scrum, Software Verification and Validation, safety-critical development constraints (e.g., DO-178B/C, IEC60880, IEC61508).
