Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd. is seeking a Software Engineer for the Software Factory to support build, test, and deployment activities within a Defence-sector project.

The role requires active SC Clearance and an understanding of CI/CD pipelines. The successful candidate will configure Software Factory tools, automate tasks with scripting, and collaborate across teams to ensure reliable platform operations and project delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Software Factory, DevOps, CI/CD or ALM environments.
• Desirable: Azure DevOps certification.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.

Software Engineer - Software Factory

Initial 6 Month contract - Inside IR35 - market rate

Reading based - hybrid working -2 days a week onsite

Defence sector - must have current and active SC Clearance

Job purpose

The ICT Engineer supports the implementation, operation, maintenance, and evolution of Software Factory platforms, development toolchains, and automation capabilities.

Key Accountabilities and Objectives

Accountabilities include (but are not limited to):

• Support software development, build, test, and deployment activities.
• Configure and maintain Software Factory tools and environments.
• Develop scripts and automation utilities.
• Support platform integration and operational activities.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and support end users.

Lifecycle Management

• Support platform maintenance and upgrades.
• Contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support deployment and release activities.

Governance

• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and processes.
• Maintain configuration and operational documentation.
• Support audit and quality assurance activities.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in Software Factory, DevOps, CI/CD, or ALM environments.

Desirable Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure Devops certification or other CI/CD environments

Skills and Experience:

• Architecture across the full system engineering lifecycle.
• Effective communication and management of stakeholders including Product Owners, Delivery Managers, Engineers, IT team and end users to ensure all needs are considered and expectations are managed.
