As a Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within F&O Execution Technology, you will be an integral part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Supporting the #1 ranked execution business, you will drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions. You will apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to address diverse challenges across multiple technologies and applications.

Working with experienced technologists, you will participate in all aspects of the e-trading development lifecycle, from designing scalable architecture to deployment, with a focus on stability and performance.

Job Responsibilities

1. Provide technical guidance and support to the business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
2. Develop secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others.
3. Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more focus areas across the function.
4. Contribute to the engineering community by promoting firmwide frameworks, tools, and best practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.
5. Foster a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems and technology, preferably with exposure to financial systems.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with React framework.
• Knowledge of JEST & React testing libraries.
• CSS styling skills.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
• Exposure to the financial industry; experience with Futures & Options is a plus.
• Understanding of FIX protocol and workflow.
• Experience with Webpack and Babel frameworks.
• Familiarity with Material UI and JSS.
• Knowledge of CSS Variables.
• Experience with AG Grid.
• Proficiency in one or more additional programming languages.
