A rapidly growing HealthTech startup is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to join their mission in revolutionizing health, helping to detect any signs of chronic diseases early. This organization is at the forefront of early detection and prevention of life-altering diseases, leveraging advanced technology to identify subtle indicators within healthcare data.

This is a unique chance for an autonomous individual to drive an ambitious software project, building a first-in-kind preventative health platform and seeing their efforts directly impact lives. The company is looking for a senior engineer to work in a fast-paced agile team, dedicated to improving health outcomes at scale.

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of commercial engineering experience
  • Expertise with Python, including frameworks like Django, and experience designing APIs and services using microservices architecture.
  • Good experience with cloud engineering (Google Cloud preferred).
  • Familiarity with large databases (SQL/NoSQL, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch) and Linux system administration.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with medical imaging data formats (DICOM, NIFTI) and healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR).
  • A background in engineering machine learning solutions for production systems.
  • Experience deploying software within healthcare systems and navigating medical device regulations (e.g., FDA/MHRA, ISO 13485/27001
