About Us

At Givver, we’re on a mission to disrupt the payroll and HR industry. Say goodbye to slow, outdated, and cumbersome systems. We’re building a platform that empowers businesses to operate faster, smarter, and with greater clarity.

Using cutting-edge AI, automation, and real-time insights, Givver simplifies operations and eliminates headaches, freeing organisations to focus on what truly matters—empowering their people. We’re an early-stage rocket ship on a trajectory to transform the industry, and we need bold, visionary builders to help us get there.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Founding Software Engineer to lay the foundation for the future of payroll and HR technology. We’re looking for someone with solid backend experience who is also comfortable contributing to the frontend.

This isn’t just another engineering job, it’s a chance to define, build from the ground up. If you thrive on tackling complex challenges, engaging directly with customers to uncover their deepest pain points, and rapidly delivering solutions that make a real-world impact, we want you on the team.

This role is tailor-made for someone who’s experienced the startup grind and is eager to roll up their sleeves to help build something game-changing. If you’re expecting a fully scoped list of tasks from a product manager each day, this probably isn’t the right fit. We’re looking for a builder who takes initiative, owns problems end-to-end, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

At Givver, you won’t just build, you’ll help shape the future of how businesses take care of their people.

What You'll Do
  • Own the Build: Develop Givver’s core platform, creating scalable, robust systems that reimagine payroll and HR from the ground up.
  • Obsess Over Customers: Work directly with our customers to deeply understand their challenges—no middlemen, no filters, just unvarnished insights—and translate their needs into world-class solutions.
  • Leverage AI to Innovate: Harness the power of AI to automate complex processes, enhance compliance, and deliver actionable insights to our users in real-time.
  • Move Fast, Deliver Faster: Build, ship, and iterate at lightning speed. Roll out features, optimise performance, and push boundaries without waiting for perfection.
  • Stay in the Trenches: You’re not here to delegate. From writing code to debugging infrastructure, you’ll stay hands-on as you help us scale to new heights.
  • Build for Scale: Collaborate with the team to design and maintain infrastructure that supports growth, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.
What You Bring
  • Founder or Early Employee DNA: You’ve experienced fast-paced environments—building quickly, adapting constantly, and contributing to something from the ground up—and you’re excited to do it again.
  • Technical Excellence:
  • Expertise in full-stack development using tools like TypeScript, Next.JS, PHP, Python, and PostgreSQL.
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
  • Experience with AI/ML applications and deployment.
  • Customer-Driven Problem Solver: You’re passionate about talking directly to customers, uncovering their biggest pain points, and delivering solutions they can’t live without.
  • High Standards, High Impact: You believe in doing the work right, even when moving fast, and are obsessed with delivering value that drives measurable impact.
  • Startup Grit: You thrive in ambiguity, move quickly, and are relentless in your pursuit of building something extraordinary.
  • Bonus Points:
  • Experience in payroll, HR tech, or fintech.
  • Experience contributing to scalable, high-performance systems that support critical workflows.
Why Givver?
  • Be a Founding Team Member: Shape the DNA of the company, product, and culture as we disrupt an industry.
  • Build Something Game-Changing: Work on technology that transforms how businesses operate and empowers people.
  • Direct Impact: Your work won’t just make a difference—it’ll define our trajectory and help us dominate the market.
  • Growth Potential: Join us at the ground floor of a high-growth rocket ship and grow alongside the company.
  • Meaningful Ownership: Competitive compensation and equity—share in our success as we scale.
