The Role:

As a Software Engineer for New Interfaces, you'll play a pivotal role in designing and developing cutting-edge AI features. You'll collaborate closely with a team of talented engineers and researchers to go beyond what's possible in mobile AI. You’ll work in a brand new research and development team to push the boundaries of our products and solve some of today’s most exciting challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage LLMs to build transformative experiences across our portfolio of devices
• Ideate, build and iterate quickly on projects that span speech recognition, sound and image generation, behavioural understanding and data collection at scale
• Develop and fine-tune models to power cloud and on-device functionalities
• Optimise our systems’ response latency and closely monitor the impact on users’ end-to-end experience
• Drive new features from prototype to production by collaborating closely with designers and other engineers

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above, major in computer science, software engineering, artificial intelligence or related fields, with proven experience of hands-on development
• Have worked as a Software Engineer in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and can quickly adapt new developments in AI to our products
• Experience with Generative AI and an interest in UI/UX
• Familiar with the architecture and principles of the Android system
