About the role

The National Security business in Manchester is growing and there are increasing opportunities to work with a range of National Security clients to provide impactful solutions.

Join a team that delivers for its clients and contributes to the community through engagement and outreach activities to build tech and cyber skills.

We are seeking additional Software Engineers following growth and success in the UK Government sector.

What you could be doing for us:

• Designing, coding, testing, correcting, and documenting simple programs, and assisting in software implementation as part of engineered information or communication systems.
• Providing accurate estimates of development effort needed based on specifications.
• Leading a team of junior-mid level developers, offering oversight and mentorship.
• Analyzing code defects and producing timely fixes.

What background are we looking for?

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python, C++.
• A desire to solve complex technical problems and help customers achieve goals.
• Ambition to learn new skills and improve.
• Knowledge of cloud engineering (AWS, Docker, Microservices) is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work in a team, share knowledge, and participate in Agile practices.
