Job Overview

Sequel Med Tech is looking to fill multiple Full-Stack Software Engineer roles over the next few months (start dates in May, July, and September) as we scale our software product team to support a growing portfolio of digital health products and systems. Our software engineers support front-end and back-end development for new digital products, partner with the platform team to deploy cloud infrastructure, and collaborate with business partners to define new capabilities. The ideal candidate will be a T-shaped engineer, with depth in one or more disciplines (e.g., front-end, back-end, security, data, mobile) and the breadth to collaborate effectively across disciplines. They will be hands-on and passionate about building products for patients, caregivers, and clinicians in a rapidly growing medical device startup. Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

Engineer II:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions under guidance from engineering leadership.
  • Deliver solutions based on business and technical requirements.
  • Ensure software design and delivery follow best practices and standards.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, GxP, security, GDPR, etc.
  • Stay current with technology trends and best practices.

Senior Engineer:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality digital products.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Follow best practices and standards in software development.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Keep up-to-date with technology trends.
  • Work with team members to deliver on time and meet quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests.

Staff Engineer:

  • Develop scalable, high-quality software solutions.
  • Understand business needs and translate into technical requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and external systems for integrations.
  • Follow regulatory compliance standards.
  • Recommend improvements to development processes and tools.
  • Ensure timely delivery within budget and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests.

Minimum Requirements

For all levels:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Engineer II:

  • 2-5 years of related experience.

Senior Engineer:

  • 5+ years of related experience.

Staff Engineer:

  • 6+ years of related experience, including at least 1 in healthcare or a regulated industry.
