This is a fixed-term post until 31 August 2028.
Your normal place of work is 6140 Knights Court Birmingham Business Park, Solihull Parkway, Solihull, West Midlands, England, B37 7WY. However, you may be required to work or be based at any premises the University occupies and may be required to work at any University site or other reasonable location where the University is undertaking its business. The university has an agile working policy, and this requires the postholder to be based in the UK.
About the school
The University of Gloucestershire School of Business, Computing and Social Science offers a diverse range of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Courses focused on business management and the application of computing in various fields. Research degrees, including MSc, MPhil, PhD, and a professional Doctorate in Business Management (DBA), are available in business management, computing, digital marketing, data science, IT, games, and multimedia. About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled recent graduate or software engineer to join us for this challenging and interesting KTP project.
You will research, design, and develop an integrated smart cyber-security hub (iSecurity-hub) for efficient cyber-security management, threat detection, misconfiguration detection, and securing system integrations between Unielectronics and its partners. This role involves incorporating cybersecurity best practices, data protection, and system integration expertise. The iSecurity-hub will initially be developed for Unielectronics and its partners but can also be applied by similar companies engaged in B2B trading, offering the software engineer valuable experience and skills with high market value. There is also an opportunity to join Unielectronics after the project. Unielectronics Ltd is a wholesale provider of printing supplies and electronics equipment with a B2B business model, serving customers through management and dropship services sourced from around 20 global suppliers.
