Software Engineer - JGS Insurance, Norwich

JGS Insurance, in partnership with Baldwin Risk Partners, aims to provide exceptional service to clients across the U.S., including New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. We focus on innovative, holistic approaches to risk management, insurance, and employee benefits, representing over 40 carriers nationally and regionally. Our growth strategy includes expanding our geographic reach, enhancing client value, and diversifying insurance offerings to meet evolving needs.

Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with a team of engineers, product managers, and business analysts within an agile environment.
2. Collaborate on system designs and review designs created by others.
3. Mentor colleagues in development technologies, tools, and processes.
4. Engage with leadership, customers, partners, and stakeholders to advance initiatives, balancing various needs and strategies.
5. Perform additional duties as assigned, including converting legacy applications into modern systems and maintaining existing applications.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5+ years of strong professional hands-on experience with .NET technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Desire to learn new technologies and tools as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
