Job summary

Worldpay is hiring a Software Engineer to design and develop Java-based solutions for a high-capacity, 24/7 payments gateway. You will work with a cross-functional team across the UK and US, ensuring code quality, security, and reliability in a Linux environment.

You will collaborate with software and QA engineers, participate in code reviews, and help drive continuous improvement across the SDLC. The role requires experience with large codebases, Oracle databases, and agile practices.

Each team has its own territory and backlog which it owns from kick-off to post-live. The teams follow agile practices which may be Scrum, Kanban or SAFe, adapted according to need. We integrate and deliver continuously, and so keep the feedback loop between product, development, test and end-users tight and responsive.
