Job summary

Figma is seeking software engineering interns for a London-based program. You’ll be embedded in small engineering teams, mentored closely, and work on meaningful features, tools, or infra.

Interns will ship a project by program end, gaining exposure to either full-stack features, platform tools, or security-oriented work. You’ll collaborate with engineers, PMs, designers, and QA, contributing to real product outcomes while learning core CS concepts, AI-assisted development tools, and industry

Qualifications

• Experience writing clean code in at least one general-purpose language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, C++, Java) with solid CS concepts.
• Experience solving technical problems through school, work, or personal projects.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to write, debug, and optimize code.
• Demonstrated curiosity about how systems are designed and operate, from infrastructure to UI.
• Strong communicator who asks great questions, collaborates well with others, and is eager to learn, get feedback, and grow as an engineer.

Responsibilities

• Join a small engineering team as a full member with your own project and mentor.
• Contribute to projects aligned with team goals and impact.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, designers, and QA to breakdown features and plan timelines.
• Build, document, and maintain tests, features, or infrastructure.
• Share feedback and participate in peer code reviews.
• Ship your project(s) by the end of your internship.
