As a DevOps Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Nutmeg Digital Wealth Management, you will be responsible for managing the core of Nutmeg's technical infrastructure. Operating within the Platform team alongside Security, Architecture, and Developer Experience teams, you'll be involved in designing, building, and maintaining a platform running on Kubernetes on AWS.

Job responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a Kubernetes platform on AWS used by over 150 engineers
• Promote best practices and principles across the engineering teams
• Standardize deployment and cloud resource usage to facilitate technology adoption and ensure security compliance
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including security teams, to understand platform requirements

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Formal training or certification in automation, deployment, and delivery environments, with advanced experience
• Proven experience in building and managing automation, deployment, and delivery environments
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and GCP, understanding their failure modes, and knowledge of network fundamentals
• Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Go and Python
• Knowledge of observability tools and best practices
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams to deliver solutions

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Experience with systems and databases, and understanding of challenges in distributed/microservice environments
• Knowledge of scalable technologies like Kafka
• A passion for learning and experimenting with new technologies
