As a Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank in Foreign Exchange Global Business, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Execute creative software solutions, design, develop, and troubleshoot technical issues, thinking beyond routine approaches to build solutions or solve problems.
  • Participate in the design phase and collaborate with various teams, technology partners, and stakeholders.
  • Build new platforms using JPMorgan Chase's proprietary technology.
  • Write documentation and work with business and technology partners to identify and mitigate technical issues.
  • Maintain and support applications for trading and pricing technologies and related infrastructure used by the firm's FX Option trading businesses.
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code, review, and debug code written by others.
  • Provide system-related solutions for risk management and trade settlement issues.
  • Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
  • Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Java.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid background in object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with automation and continuous delivery methods.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies like CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Knowledge of Python.
  • Experience with SecDB, Athena, Quartz platform.
  • Knowledge of currency trading business.
  • Understanding of the financial services industry and IT systems.
