Our Paid Media Engineering team creates and maintains tools that bring millions of visitors to viator.com each month. This cross-functional team handles data ingestion, transformation, visualization, and architecture, ensuring operational reliability and modularity. We are expanding and seeking a software engineer to support our growing traffic and deliver innovative solutions. Viator is a remote-first company. This role can be remote from anywhere in the UK, Portugal, or Poland, or hybrid from our offices in Oxford, London, or Lisbon.

• Design, implement, document, and monitor reliable, fault-tolerant real-time integrations with marketing partners.
• Create tools to manage marketing campaigns at scale.
• Develop end-to-end data pipelines, from ingestion to delivery.
• Evaluate integration options with marketing partners.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience focused on Java.
• Strong SQL skills, including writing and debugging complex, performant, fail-safe queries.
• Experience with RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms like Google Cloud or AWS.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and self-learning skills.
• Willingness to travel if required.

Bonus

• Experience working with marketing partners.
• Knowledge of link tracking, pixels/tags, Google Analytics, and marketing attribution.
• Experience with BigQuery or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and platforms.
• Experience in e-commerce or startups is a plus.
