Job summary

Expedia Group in London is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver high-quality features for the Credit platform used by partners globally. You will work across the full software lifecycle, writing clean code in Java/Kotlin and building RESTful APIs and microservices.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into scalable solutions, while debugging production issues and improving platform reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building scalable, distributed systems.
• Experience with JVM-based languages (Java, Kotlin) and RESTful APIs/microservices.
• Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern DevOps (CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes).
• Proficient English communication in a distributed team, agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software features for the Credit platform.
• Write clean, well-tested code across the full software development lifecycle in Java/Kotlin.
• Participate in architectural discussions and influence platform direction.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve platform reliability and performance.
• Review peers' code and contribute to engineering practices and tooling.
