Job summary

Swap Commerce Ltd. is seeking a software engineer to build cost observability and tooling for LLM workloads and to enable safe, productive agentic coding workflows across the business.

You will own the delivery of projects end to end, review code, improve CI/CD, and evaluate new AI tools with a focus on measurable impact and clear communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Own and ship mid-sized features or projects end to end.
• Experience with building distributed data systems and measuring impact with metrics.
• Strong testing discipline and improving CI/CD or developer tooling.
• Clear written and verbal communicator.
• Bonus: experience with LLM/agentic tooling, AI cost observability, or internal developer platforms.
• Generalist with a learning mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build cost observability and usage-tracking tooling across LLM and agent workloads, to show AI costs and productivity impact.
• Design and ship internal tooling and guardrails for safe, productive agentic coding workflows.
• Evaluate new AI tools, models, and vendors, and make build-vs-buy recommendations.
• Write and maintain production-quality code and automated tests for the platforms and tools you own.
• Review peers' code for correctness, readability, and maintainability.
• Own delivery of projects end to end, from scoping through production rollout across infrastructure, tooling, and process work.
• Establish and socialise best practices for AI usage across the business.

• Design and ship internal tooling and guardrails that let business and engineering teams adopt agentic coding workflows safely and productively.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, comfortable operating independently on unfamiliar codebases.
• A track record of owning and shipping mid‑sized features or projects end to end.
• Experience with building distributed data systems, feedback loops and measuring impact of work with metrics.
• Strong testing discipline and experience improving CI/CD or developer tooling.
• Someone who is focused on solving problems rather than working on particular tech stack / languages
• Clear written and verbal communicator.
• Bonus: experience with LLM/agentic tooling, AI cost observability, or internal developer platforms.
• A generalist with an attitude for learning and growth.
