Job summary

Neo4j, Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Engineer - Identity and Access Management to architect, implement, and manage enterprise IAM strategies for Aura. You will work with security, development, infrastructure, and product teams to consolidate IAM capabilities across critical applications and systems.

The role requires strong technical skills, a passion for IAM, and collaboration across teams to build secure, scalable IAM solutions while adhering to regulatory requirements like SOC 2.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend development or software engineering experience.
• Experience with IAM systems (Okta, Auth0, Ping Identity, Oracle OAM, AWS IAM, Azure AD/Entra ID).
• Deep understanding of IAM principles, authentication/authorization protocols, and identity lifecycle management.
• Solid grasp of identity security frameworks, protocols, and secure design patterns.

Responsibilities

• IAM Architecture & Implementation: shape IAM roadmap and design architecture across Aura.
• Develop and maintain scalable IAM solutions including identity governance and authentication frameworks.
• Authentication & Authorization: implement tooling for protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, LDAP, MFA); manage lifecycle (SCIM).
• Security & Compliance: apply zero trust and ensure SOC 2 compliance.
• Collaboration & Leadership: mentor team members; document for technical and non-technical audiences.
