Job summary

Elity Global in London is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a team building core technology for global electronic trading. You will own substantial parts of the backend and contribute to low-latency data processing used by traders every day.

You will design, implement and optimize systems that handle complex financial data, with a focus on scalability, reliability and quality. This role offers genuine ownership and the chance to learn how modern markets operate from inside.

Qualifications

• Strong professional software engineering experience and solid CS fundamentals.
• Proficient in C++, C#, C and/or Python.
• Experience building complex, production-grade backend systems.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, data structures and system design.
• Enjoy solving difficult technical problems and taking ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-quality software supporting sophisticated electronic trading.
• Develop systems capable of processing complex financial datasets accurately and reliably.
• Solve challenges around data quality, scale, performance and resilience.
• Build new technology as the firm expands across markets, products and data sources.
• Take projects from idea to production with end-to-end ownership.
• Work closely with engineers and trading teams to define practical solutions.
• Influence architecture and platform evolution with sound technical decisions.
