MCS Group is working exclusively with a growing software company in Derry/Londonderry as it adds a Software Engineer to its close-knit development team.
This is an opportunity to join a successful local business at an important stage of its growth. You'll work on business-critical software used by organisations across the UK, taking genuine ownership of your work in a team where good ideas can quickly make an impact.
The company takes a modern approach to development and is actively introducing AI-assisted tools across its engineering processes. You don't need extensive AI experience, but you should be interested in how these tools can help you design, build and deliver better software.
You'll work across the full development lifecycle, building new functionality and improving an established software platform.
Rather than working on one narrow area, you'll gain exposure across user interfaces, APIs, databases and cloud infrastructure. You'll also have the freedom to take a requirement, work through the detail and deliver a complete solution.
As the business and engineering team grow, there will be clear scope to take on greater technical responsibility and progress into a more senior position.
Experience with TypeScript, Angular, PostgreSQL or AWS would be beneficial, although the company is open to developers from other technical backgrounds who can demonstrate strong fundamentals and an ability to learn.
MCS Group is committed to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion for all, being the first recruitment agency in NI to achieve Bronze Diversity Mark accreditation, if you have a disability which means you require a reasonable adjustment to be considered at any stage of the recruitment process, please contact us and we will endeavour to facilitate the request.
