Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer

(Core Science Integration Team)

The Role

Reports to: CSI Engineering Manager

Location: London, UK (Hybrid Working Model)

Compensation: £55k-£75k (base) + 10% Company Performance Bonus + Equity + Benefits

We are hiring either a Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer to support and improve the interface between our Science and Core teams.

• Implement machine learning services designed by the Science team
• Review, test, and optimize code for performance
• Deploy to production ensuring service continuity
• Debug and maintain production systems
• Design solutions for Science team requests
• Take ownership of your work, demonstrate initiative, and think laterally

• Participate in technical discussions and stay engaged with technical topics
• Learn quickly and adapt to complex issues

What we would like to see from you

• Experience with Python
• Interest in backend development
• Understanding of distributed systems (RabbitMQ, Celery, Redis, Memcached)
• Knowledge of scientific libraries such as Numpy and Pandas
• Experience with MongoDB, BigQuery, and data visualization tools
• Experience with designing, training, and evaluating machine learning models
• Familiarity with AI frameworks (Pytorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
• Understanding of Test Driven Development, SOLID principles, and optimization techniques
• Interest in DevOps
