Job Title: Software Engineer (Consultant) – Data & AI

Location: London, hybrid (up to 3 days per week in office)

Duration: 12 month FTC, full-time

The role:
We are seeking a technically skilled Software Engineer to support the implementation of a firm-wide Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) system for a leading professional services firm. This role involves hands-on design and development of key technical components such as data migrations, Azure-hosted integrations, and system connectivity across Power Platform and the firm’s practice management system.

You will work with a modern tech stack – including Azure Logic Apps, Power Platform, React, and a mix of Python, C#, and Typescript – supported by CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation. Your work will ensure secure, accurate, and timely data movement across the CLM ecosystem.

Collaborating with the Technical Business Analyst, Test Manager, Change Manager, and Project Manager, you will contribute to technical workstreams like endpoint development, integration flows, data cleansing pipelines, test migrations, validation routines, and live go-live activities. Your role is crucial in maintaining secure, accurate data flow and operational efficiency across the system.

This is a hands-on development position requiring coding expertise and delivery experience. You will lead by example in TDD practices, paired programming, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Developing and deploying ETL pipelines for data cleansing using Azure tools.
2. Building and maintaining API endpoints for downstream systems.
3. Writing scripts for client ID generation and data validation.
4. Designing and configuring integration flows between systems.
5. Implementing field mapping and transformation logic.
6. Conducting connectivity tests and payload validation.
7. Supporting staged migrations, including testing and final deployment.
8. Collaborating on Power Platform form logic.
9. Configuring error logging, retries, and fallback mechanisms.
10. Supporting defect resolution, testing, and user support documentation.
11. Contributing to BAU support through documentation and automation.
12. Working closely with DevOps tools like Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.

Who you are:

• Experienced in delivering solutions with Microsoft Dataverse, Azure Logic Apps, and Power Platform.
• Proficient in Python, C#, or Typescript.
• Hands-on with API integrations, data pipelines, and transformation logic.
• Experienced with TDD, pairing, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Familiar with React web applications or forms.
• Consulting mindset — able to navigate ambiguity and co-create pragmatic solutions.
• Excellent collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on clean, reliable code.
• Understanding of client lifecycle processes in professional services.
• Awareness of data security and GDPR standards.
• Bonus: Data analysis, Power BI, data warehousing experience.
