Job summary

Client Server Limited in London is seeking a Software Engineer to join a small team building a flagship secure OS and desktop application. You will develop in C++ on Linux (Debian) with a focus on security and low-level system software.

You will work in an international, relaxed environment with two days a week in the London office and flexible remote days. Strong C++, Linux, and scripting skills are required, and eligibility for UK clearance is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ coding skills
• Linux OS knowledge with Bash scripting
• Proactive, analytical with strong problem-solving abilities
• Degree educated with CS fundamentals (OOP, data structures, design patterns)
• Collaborative with good communication skills
• Eligible for SC Clearance (British citizen or resident for 5+ years)
• Nice to have: networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Linux kernel, C or Python)

Responsibilities

Software Engineer / Developer (C++ Linux OS) London / WFH to £65k

Do you have strong C++ coding skills combined with a deep knowledge of Linux?

You could be progressing your career at a successful and expanding software house that provide cyber security products to a range of finance, government, defence, law enforcement and pharmaceutical companies.

As a Software Engineer you'll join a small team responsible for the company's flagship secure operating system and desktop application. You'll build out new products, features and updates using C++ on low level Linux OS (Debian) to provide maximum security.

Location / WFH:

You'll be joining an international team, working in a relaxed software house environment (i.e. non-corporate, casual dress, table football), in Central London offices for two days a week with continued flexibility to work from home three days a week.

About you:

• You have strong C++ coding skills
• You have a deep knowledge of Linux OS combined with strong bash scripting and command line
• You're proactive, analytical and have advanced problem solving abilities
• You're degree educated with a strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns
• You're collaborative with great communication skills
• You must be eligible to achieve SC Clearance (i.e. British citizen or resident for a minimum of 5 consecutive years)
• Ideally you'll also have a good working knowledge of Networking e.g. TCP/IP, Linux Kernel, C or Python
