Overview of Department:

Our team, at our Bristol facility, develops solutions for the next generation of Air Defence Systems; creating evolving products while maintaining our reputation for safety, performance, and dependability.

Responsibilities:

This is a hands-on role requiring ongoing design and development of Command and Control architectures and their instantiations for future products. Ideal for a proactive Software Engineer who takes initiative.

Skillset/Experience Required:

• A strong background in software engineering, its realization, and system-wide impact.
• Experience working in C++
• Collaborative, open approach to development with the ability to work well in a team and maintain momentum during development.
• Experience across the entire software development process, from engaging with requirement authorities to automated target integration and testing, supported by effective documentation.
• Experience with new tools, techniques, and approaches to improve process efficiency and sustainability.
• Experience in other languages such as Ada, QT
• Knowledge of DDS Middleware and Real-Time Operating Systems
• Knowledge of standards such as DefStan 00-55, DO-C, IEC, and restricted coding standards like MISRA C++.
