Location: London (Liverpool Street)

Employment Type: Full-time and Permanent

Remuneration (London; On-site): £70–90k Base Salary + Discretionary Bonus + Equity

About the company: We are a stealth-mode AI laboratory researching and developing Machine Learning models, backed by prominent US and UK investors.

Role overview: Design and develop backend infrastructure for Machine Learning workloads, working closely with the Machine Learning team. Experience in cloud computing and distributed systems required; ML background not necessary.

Responsibilities include:

• Design and develop scalable, fault-tolerant, event-driven systems.
• Own your tasks with autonomy.
• Collaborate with the founding team to establish best practices and company culture.
• Mentor colleagues to raise standards.
• Utilize AWS and manage infrastructure with Terraform.
• Develop services in C# (.NET 9), deploy via ECS or Lambda using GitHub Actions.
• Use Postgres, SNS/SQS, and Redis.
• Maintain robust end-to-end test coverage.

Desired skills and experience:

• 2-3 years of back-end development experience with object-oriented languages.
• Experience deploying to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and observability tools (Datadog, Grafana).
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
