If you're a motivated Software Engineer focused on Back-End Development and eager to work in an innovative environment, we have an excellent opportunity within our UK Central Product team.

Team and Responsibilities

Our Central Product team is recruiting a Software Engineer to join a newly established UK-based software team. You will work with a team of motivated engineers to build and deliver REST APIs and backend integrations, interacting with product owners and architects to turn ideas into software solutions.

You will mentor other engineers, promote innovation, and guide development best practices, demonstrating expertise in object-oriented programming, .NET Framework, .NET Core, C#, Web API, MVC, Azure Cloud, and GraphQL. Experience with agile methodologies and building scalable enterprise software is essential; familiarity with Python, React, and TypeScript is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in all phases of product development: analysis, architecture, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Contribute to system architecture improvements.
  • Deliver modules on time, mentor junior team members, and adapt to changing environments.
  • Design, develop, and maintain software based on high-level requirements.
  • Create clean, reusable module designs following design patterns and SOLID principles.
  • Document work, designs, code, and testing activities.
  • Review peer work and provide constructive feedback.
  • Manage own workload efficiently, meet deadlines, and handle modules, documentation, and releases.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in software product development.
  • Strong programming skills in .NET Framework, .NET Core, MVC, Web API, C#, GraphQL.
  • Knowledge of Web Security, OAuth, OpenID, RDBMS, NoSQL, RESTful APIs, Microservices.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented and functional programming.
  • Understanding of software architecture, algorithms, and engineering principles.
  • Experience with development tools, version control, Agile practices.
  • Motivated to learn new technologies, with good knowledge of Azure, CI tools, cloud deployment, scripting, Python, React UI, TypeScript, and DataDog.
