Job summary

eTeam Workforce Limited in Manchester is seeking a Software Engineer for a 2-month initial contract, hybrid role requiring four days on-site weekly. You will develop enterprise applications using Java, Python, and Spring Boot, integrating AI/ML models, and building RESTful services, with CI/CD and cloud deployment support.

The ideal candidate has strong Java/Spring experience and familiarity with AI ecosystems, Vector databases, and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Java (8/11/17+).
• Hands-on development with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and Microservices.
• Strong expertise in Client Database, SQL, PL/SQL, Query Optimization, and Performance Tuning.
• REST APIs, JSON, and web services integration.
• Git, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes implementation.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise-grade apps using Java, Python, and Spring Boot.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Develop database solutions using Client SQL, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, Functions, and Tuning.
• Integrate AI/ML models into business apps and workflows.
• Work with AI ecosystems: LLMs, Generative AI, RAG, LangChain, Vector DBs, AI APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Ensure security, scalability, and software engineering best practices.
• Support deployment through CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms.
