Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is hiring a Software Engineer for the data side of our AI team. You will own data collection and ingestion for model training, enabling high-quality datasets at scale and low cost through integrated infrastructure and research.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software experience, is proficient in Bash/Python on Linux, and has Docker and IaC with GCP. This role is fully distributed with global collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of industry software development experience.
• Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments.
• Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts; experience with GCP.
• Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data workflows is a plus.
• Strong multitasking and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be scrappy to source new audio data and ingest into the pipeline.
• Operate and extend cloud infra for ingestion, on GCP with Terraform.
• Collaborate with Scientists to improve data cost, throughput and quality.
• Partner with AI Team and leadership to roadmap the dataset for future products.
